IDC Hiring for Sr. Research Manager – Services at Bangalore, India Full Time

We are seeking for a highly motivated analytically and technology driven individual for the Senior Research Manager for IDC’s Software and Services research focusing on India market. The role is primarily focused on strengthening the software and services research including emerging technologies for India Market. The individual will be a thought leader involved in building thought leadership research, reports, client engagements. This is a highly market and media facing role reporting to the Research Director.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build/strengthen research capabilities around digital transformation focusing and software and services including areas like Digital Transformation, IT Services, application services, modernization, security, cloud and automation etc.

• Own, drive and elevate IDC’s flagship subscription product on digital transformation focusing on India market. Compilation and delivery of succinct and high quality of qualitative and quantitative reports on a regular basis

• Candidate should be able to confidently lead vendor discussions and presentations in the IT market. The individual is expected to build strong value-based professional relationships with senior leaders of the industry (both vendors and end users) and to provide them with market understanding as well as advice around their strategies

• Mentor a team of analysts who work on data and research products

• Drive webinars, round tables, and other thought leadership events with CXO level stakeholders

• Look at diverse data sets, analyze and make sense of market trends and envisage potential areas of research

• Lead consulting projects.

• Be an authority on the Digital Transformation, Software and IT Services

• Individual with a minimum 10 years of job experience in a market research/IT consulting/Services/Software firm with a passion towards research and becoming a thought leader

• MBA preferred. Minimum university or college degree, BA, BSc or equivalent.

• Excellent communication skills absolutely essential

• Strong interpersonal skills, experience of having worked in a multi-cultural environment will be a key advantage

• Ability to develop, maintain and strengthen strong relationships with peers and external people such as customers

• Ability to manage a team.

• Excellent time management skills while at the same time able to effectively multi-task
