We have a unique opportunity for a professional database guru that lives and breathe all things data, databases and data services. If your enthusiastic and have experience of multiple types of databases and you have a desire to learn/evaluate new database technologies, then this role is for you. This role is non-managerial.
It would be highly beneficial having experience in any of the following in addition to SQL Server – PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, or Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure, No SQL etc etc. If you don’t have experience in these technologies, then this role will give you an opportunity to learn them.
With your experience, it’s expected you will provide guidance and recommendations to technical teams on best practices and approaches to database related tasks, as well as bringing an understanding of data security and governance best practices.
Responsibilities include;

• Provide query design, TSQL/PLSQL development, query optimization, Index recommendation, resolving performance issues and understanding of query execution plans.
• Work with the latest information security software and support business operations by organizing large amounts of data.
• Responsible for the storage, retrieval, and security of digital data.
• Determine data storage and access requirements.
• Creation, guidance on data security & governance best practices
• Discover and learn alternative database technologies so you can provide technical guidance.
• Provide guidance and recommendations to technical teams on the best practices and approaches to database related tasks .
• Adherence to the Company’s Quality Management System to ensure that all work is handled Securely, Professionally and Diligently.

Key Skills required;

• Knowledge of SQL Server and Oracle

• Desirable to have Knowledge of SQL Server – PostgreSQL, AWS

• Desirable to have knowledge of Kubernetes, SQL Azure, Oracle Cloud.

• Willing to learn other database platforms or technologies and have no preferences other one or another technology as we have multiple products that use different technologies
