Your Role and Responsibilities

• Advise client executives on high availability and resiliency technologies, capabilities in the resiliency services portfolio, resiliency and availability strategy, resiliency services and resiliency strategy & design

• Advise client technical executives on security & compliance standards, service management solutions, storage resiliency, cyber resiliency, storage infrastructure capacity, storage virtualization & consolidation, server architecture, storage architecture, replication design, network and security architecture

• Analyze resiliency requirements and objectives, apply architectural methods, apply interface to architecture and apply knowledge of infrastructure services offerings

• Apply knowledge of availability management, capacity management, change management, configuration management and incident management to guide the disaster recovery operations teams to maintain the client environment in a DR ready and security compliant posture

• Prepare and articulate enterprise disaster recovery plans by applying knowledge of client enterprise IT strategy, client organization & structure and be able to analyze client requirements relating to availability and resiliency of business application services

• Apply knowledge of Kubernetes & Containers, Linux Operating Systems, UNIX Operating Systems, Windows Operating Systems, Scripting to automate DR processes / workflows and Server Virtualization technologies

• Deliver technical presentations to senior client executives, make executive level presentations, design executive level technical reports, develop business cases and demonstrate enterprise banking expertise while managing client expectations/satisfaction

• Continue to develop subject matter expertise through external and internal training and excel as a trusted advisor on the latest Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity areas

• Engage with Kyndryl sales / presales teams when required and provide subject matter expertise / demo’s and participate in executive briefings with the customer. This involves advising, briefing and presenting to senior customer executives

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Architectural Thinking

• Excellent Communication and Documentation Skills

• Understanding of enterprise application architectures and ability to map application dependencies onto the underlying storage, server, operating system, database, virtualization platform, network and firewall infrastructure and document dependencies on other enterprise applications in the client’s production and DR environments / cloud environments

• Understanding of DR process automation platforms and innovate to optimize recovery time objectives by automating DR process workflows

• Understanding of global disaster recovery and business continuity standards and processes

• Understanding of enterprise application and infrastructure (storage, server, virtualization, database, network and firewall) architecture

• Experience on IBM RO DR automation platform or similar DR automation platform

• Understanding of enterprise IT incident, problem, and change management processes

• Strong understanding of data protection (backup & recovery, DR, storage replication, native database replication, file replication) technologies for enterprise applications running on-premise or cloud infrastructure platforms

• Hands-on experience with standalone and clustered UNIX (AIX / RHEL / Solaris / HPUX etc.) and Windows platforms

• Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix Xenapp)

• Ability to develop and maintain shell / powershell / python / TCL or similar scripts.

• Ability to develop scripts to integrate with external enterprise tools / systems via CLIs / APIs

• Understand storage replication technologies in various DR scenarios

• Understand native database replication technologies in various DR scenarios

• Understand virtual machine (hypervisor) level replication technologies like Zerto and VSphere replication

• Experience working on on-premises / cloud / hybrid cloud infrastructure

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Cyber (IT) security experience

• DR / BCP audit experience
