MaxLinear Hiring for Director ASIC Design Engineering at Chennai, India Full Time

MaxLinear is seeking a Director ASIC to join our Digital ASIC Design group. Digital ASIC team provides innovative ASIC solutions for the challenges in wired and wireless communications, storage, networking domains. In this role, you will drive design of digital signal processing modules e.g. filters, demodulator, custom digital signal processors, networking components e.g. packet processors as well as focusing on integration of embedded processors for multi-CPU SOC environments. The design activity requires understanding of digital communication systems, digital design fundamentals and knowledge of CMOS logic fundamentals. The person should be well versed in industry standard design and verification methodologies. Knowledge and expertise with design and verification tools is a must. Experience in low power design is desirable.

• Lead the chip design team managing both the IP and SoC logic design, drive hiring activities and mentor team members

• Build a world-class design team that works across the globe

• MS or PhD degree in Electronics Engineering or Electrical Engineering

• 15 years of relevant experience in Low power SOC ASIC development from concept to production

• Should have experience both as a technical lead as well as a development manager

• Responsible for delivering high quality silicon with all aspects of silicon design including RTL design/Integration, synthesis, front-end timing constraints, LEC, UPF, low-power design flows, etc.

• Must also have a strong understanding of all phases of development in ASIC design including architecture, micro-architecture, RTL design

• Work closely with Product Management and SoC architecture teams to understand product requirements and ensure SoC is carefully optimized for area, power and performance

• Experience in Networking silicon and DSP is highly desired

• Requires hands-on experience with all stages of VLSI development as well as a proven track record of building and leading interdisciplinary teams in a similar setting
