Ensuring compliance with EHS&S regulations at the Morgan Advanced Materials operations in Thermal Ceramics, Asia
Ensuring compliance with Morgan Corporate EHS&S Policies and Programs.
Installing and maintaining effective EHS&S Management systems, based on Morgan’s model system, training management and employees in all aspects of the system, and working towards external certification, where appropriate.
Providing oversight of accident/incident investigations to ensure accurate classification of injuries and illness and corrective actions are implemented to prevent recurrence.
Identifying and implementing the most appropriate accident prevention methods and systems as per need and as per the Morgan policy (such as LOTO, JSA, machine guarding etc as per EHS framework and risk principle).
Implementing the behavioural safety methods, through training, establishing and appropriate systems
Ensuring that environmental data and work-related accident and injury/illness data (KPIs) are being collected and reported properly to Corporate, Regional leadership, and legal entities including JV partners.
Providing and/or directing industrial hygiene monitoring, including chemical and physical agent exposure assessments at Morgan’s operations. Developing corrective actions to ensure that employees working in Morgan’s operations are not exposed to workplace conditions that can result in potential adverse health effects and that the facilities are in regulatory compliance.
Enabling a dust free work place in Asian site
Enabling the region to achieve the sustainable development goals laid by Morgan UK for year 2030 and thereby 2050.
Graduate degree in engineering, or Master in Science
Specialisation in Safety & Environmental science/ engineering through a post graduate degree/ diploma from a reputed institution
12 years’ minimum experience of working in a manufacturing plant, handling the functions described in earlier sections
3-5 years’ experience as the head of the EHS&S in a medium sized plant
Experience in managing multiple plant sites is desired
Good understanding of the regulatory framework, procedures, and also audit process. Keeping abreast of the latest developments
