Overview:
Sr. System Administrator- Backup and Storage Specialist: 10 years + The IT Server, Storage & Backup Specialist designs, installs, configures, tests, manages, monitors, supports, and troubleshoots all server, storage & backup components of the APS Data Center, disaster recovery site and other remote locations. Defines, designs, and implements infrastructure and solution improvements. Proposes and implements system enhancements (Software and hardware updates) & Security (Vulnerability Patching & Upgrade) that will improve the performance, reliability and Secure of the system. Manages the load configuration of a central data communication processor and makes recommendations for purchase or upgrade of data networks.
Responsibilities:
10+ Yrs. Experience in Exchange 2016 Hybrid Infrastructure, Multiple AD Forest & Exchange Organizations. Defines, designs, and implements infrastructure and solution improvements. Proposes and implements system enhancements (Software and hardware updates) & Security (Vulnerability Patching & Upgrade) that will improve the performance, reliability and Secure of the system. System planning, upgrading, monitoring, testing, and servicing.
Note: May be internal or external, client-focused, working in conjunction with Professional Services and outsourcing functions. May include company-wide, web-enabled solutions.
Supporting the Enterprise Active Directory Forest/Messaging like Exchange Hybrid Environment.
Expertise in Email security tools like Exchange Online Protection or Proofpoint, Barracuda (or similar email archiver).
Microsoft Office 365, Teams, and Intune extensive knowledge
Patch Management – Like SCCM, Ivanti (or similar)
Maintain the infrastructure and functionality of a company’s cloud structures (AWS, Azure)
Support the Enterprise Anti-Virus solution and the activities associated with keeping it current.
Troubleshooting ESX issues related to storage, network and performance issues
Plan, deploy and administer the backup system hardware and software.
Support and maintain the current enterprise printing environment.
Support the maintenance of current versions of several different critical business systems.
Primary operator for back-up of all critical data.
Monitor and maintain access privileges and system security.
Provide backup for System Administrators if are on vacation or busy with other tasks.
Must be willing to work outside normal business hours, night shifts to accomplish upgrades and maintenance with minimal effect upon productivity.
Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements.
Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies.
Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies.
On-Call Support: Must be willing to carry a cell phone at work and during off hours.
Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written.
A fundamental understanding of Active Directory and its implementation.
A thorough understanding of DHCP, DNS, and WINS name resolution-internet work security
Flexible to work in rotational shifts.

Qualifications:
A minimum of 10 plus years in the following areas: TCP/IP, LAN/WAN Ethernet, Windows Server latest versions, Windows Server Patching, Exchange/O365, Citrix, AWS, Backup solutions (Commvault) and Azure.
Bachelor’s Degree/Full Time Diploma (reputed institutes).
