About Team:

Legal team facilitates the legal risk and compliances centrally and ensures business activities are conducted in conformity with all applicable laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures. Serve as a liaison for local regulators, legal bodies as well as maintaining relationships with them. Ensure local regulatory permissions for Paytm remain current and appropriate for business needs.

Key Skills:

• 2-5 years of experience in the field of public policy, or financial services
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of regulations and policy issues, in the financial services space

Job Description

This role entails the following responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth research on policy issues affecting Paytm’s diverse businesses, regulatory developments, and market trends
• Analyze the impact of proposed and existing Government policies, providing insights to internal teams for informed decision-making
• Developing comprehensive policy briefs and position papers to support the development of Financial services ecosystem
• Research and publish white papers on issues impacting financial services ecosystem
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance & mitigate risks with relevant regulations and policies across Paytm’s portfolio
• Drive strategic initiatives that align with the broader business goals of Paytm. Proactively identify opportunities and risks related to policy matters, influencing decision-making at both operational and strategic levels
• Prepare responses to public policy consultation papers, position papers and speaking notes for Paytm’s representation in conferences, panels, round tables etc

Education:

• M.B.A/ Masters in Public Policy/Masters in Public Administration from leading institutions/ colleges in India or abroad
