Analyzing Openvms Error Logs, Dumps

Must have working experience in Decnet-IV , Decnet OverIP, Decnet Plus

troubleshooting Decnet

Good Knowledge on Openvms TCP/IP

Good to have VSI OpenVMS experience

upgrading from HP Openvms to VSI Open VMS

Upgrading the VMS across the HP Blade BL860c i2 to HP Blade BL860 i6

Must have experience in OpenVMS Upgrading and Patching

Must have experience in Memory management and memory turning

Good to have Networking knowledge

Must have DCL Scripting skill to automate the Jobs

Provide end-to-end support for all OpenVMS-based systems in Liberate applications, collaborating with software developers, infrastructure teams, and the end-user community.

Responsible to Maintain and manage OpenVMS batch generic print queues Maintain Sysgen parameters tuning and troubleshooting

Responsible for OpenVMS maintenance activities, Installation management and administration of OpenVMS Knowledge of DCL scripting for system administration tasks.

Troubleshoot OpenVMS Server reboots, crashes and resolve/recover the platform.

Administer and manage a reliable OpenVMS systems environment in Liberate application which supports a variety of mission-critical applications including, CIFS- and NFS-based file-sharing services, and non-interactive batch processing.

• Should have well versed in DCL commands and capable of debugging the complex DCL scripts.
• Familiar with VMS backup and restore concepts
• Should have extensive knowledge and experience on log analysis and troubleshooting mechanism.
• Should have good knowledge in VMS network concepts like TCPIP / DECnet / Terminal PORT maintenance
• Should have good control over VMS user administration and user reported issues
• Should have good experience in Oracle RDB and in particular DML / DDL statements
• Should have capability to walk through and understand the SQL embedded COBOL Programs (.SCO).
• Should have good analytical and problem solving mind set
• Should have good oral and written English communication
• Should have adaptability to work with other technology team member(s) to solve the related/associated issues.
• This is an SLA driven 24×7 Telecom domain shift based support project and hence expected more accountability and quick turnaround exposure.

Experience:
Detailed knowledge of OpenVMS systems management, SAN administration and backup solutions

Knowledge of network technologies including Decnet, TCPIP and Firewalls

Knowledge of IT security
