The Role : Senior Lead Database Administrator
The Team : The S&P Corporate Database team will be a group of expert Database Administrators well versed in collaborating and driving the S&P Global culture of operational excellence
The Impact : The incumbent in this role will be part of a growing Database team that will be responsible for the planning, implementation, configuration and general administration of S&P Global’ s Corporate databases, which includes documentation of long-range requirements, operational guidelines, access controls and backup and recovery, security and auditing, and installations and migrations. By working collaboratively with their US counterpart, this role will ensure the integrity of the Corporate facing, highly visible databases. This role will also provide S&P Global with database support for important database upgrades, patching efforts and major projects to ensure they are delivered timely.

Responsibilities : The incumbent must possess the ability to logically design and build databases as well as the skill to review changes to database design to understand how these changes will affect the physical database. The position will be maintaining standardized, scalable, effectively-monitor database environments, utilizing industry standard tools, technologies, and best practices. The ability to follow instructions and take initiative to gather requirements and assist in, design, development, quality assurance, implementation & monitoring) of critical database projects is required. The incumbent will abide by the policies, procedures and standards related to databases and database management. They will also maintain communication with managers in the US to ensure quality and effective database solutions are offered and implemented and also coordinate with the development architecture group to ensure that corporate design guidelines are followed. The position must support corporate-wide strategic initiatives, which includes ensuring compliance with all security, disaster recovery mandates and regulatory agency oversight. Assist with the stopping and starting of clusters and databases during accelerated monthly OS patching schedule.
What We’re Looking For :
7 to 9 years of experience in administering Oracle database and Cloud environments and utilizing industry standard tools, technologies and best practices

Ability to design and architect OCI tenancy to accommodate workloads across Regions and Availability Domains.

Working knowledge across Identity and Access Management and Governance features

Experience in migrating or lift and shift of on-prem or other cloud service provider applications and database to OCI

Exposure to Networking and Security services and components on OCI

Designing and working knowledge across cloud infrastructure services (Compute, Storage, Network etc…)

Designing High Availability, Disaster Recovery and Backup solution for IaaS and PaaS platform

Design monitoring and auto scaling services on OCI

Understanding on Oracle Licensing models on OCI

Experience with Planning and Provisioning of Oracle Cloud ERP SaaS Instances

Prepare high-level and low-level design document as required for implementation team

Implement POC’s to demonstrate capability and ability to implement in large scale deployments

Experience in multiple full lifecycle implementations of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

Experience with Planning and Provisioning PaaS Services like ATP, Object Storage, OIC, APEX, Vault Services etc.

Maintenance of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure tenancy
Grade/Level ( relevant for internal applicants only ): G11
