Experienced Accountant/ Accounts Assistant
We are seeking a qualified or part qualified accountant/ accounts assistant with a minimum of 3 years experience in practice. We are a flexible employer, and this role is work from Home with office visit requirement as required by director. Opportunities for progression and development are always available.
Preparation of Limited Company, Partnership and Sole Trade accounts
Preparation of Corporation and SATRs Tax Returns
Preparation, finalisation and submission of VAT returns through cloud accounting software
Bookkeeping
Managing and complying with reporting requirements and filing
Any other office duties as required
Skills
Experience of working in a professional firm
Very proficient and experienced user of Xero cloud accounting software and Hubdoc and awareness of other packages such as Quickbooks and Freeagent
Ability to process source records into cloud accounting packages
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
Knowledge of Making Tax Digital
Awareness of personal taxation of Directors, in relation to dividends, and business owners
Excellent organisational, communication, listening and time management skills
The ability to work independently under your own initiative, in high pressure situations and remotely.
Successful candidate will have to go through full fraud and credit check
Candidate should have their own laptop/computer and home wifi connection for initial 6 months period. Laptop and other work related equipment will be provided after 6months of probation period
