Job Overview

Assisting the IOCC, maintain a Flight Watch, which is an extension of the process of operations control, which requires the individual to be more proactive. Active monitoring by the Flight Follower personnel, of all things which may affect the planned completion of an en route flight, allows up-to-the-minute tactical planning and assistance. It also allows the Aircraft Commander to inform the IOCC of changes of intention such as, for example, an intention to land at an alternative destination for technical reasons, so that the IOCC can make appropriate handling arrangements and seek clearances.

Key Responsibilities

• Update and assist MOC regarding NOTAM, Watch hours, Airport curfew, Weather, MEL, or any other operational constraint
• Flight following
• Delay assignment on flights in System
• Providing the PIC with appropriate information, while in flight and on ground that may be necessary for the safe conduct of the flight
• Update MOC in the event the position of a Vistara aircraft cannot be determined, by an Alert of ‘No position Report’ generated by SITAONAIR’s AIRCOM Flight Tracker, notify the nearest ATC unit in the relevant FIR
• Shall maintain a weather watch till the completion of the flight
• Shall keep the MOC abreast of all developments in the shift
• Shall alert all internal stakeholders of any local aerodrome weather warnings
• Updating ACARS with relevant flight information
• Attend official phone calls and share the information with relevant stakeholders
• Any other functions deemed necessary for the safe operation of the flight
• IOCC reports generation

Skills & Attributes

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
• Strong analytical and organizational skills

Work Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in Flight Operations or exposure to IOCC is desirable

Qualification

• Graduate from a recognized university
