Assembly -Plumber

Job Purpose

Will work in Manufacturing plant for assembly & small bore Tube Plumbing for subsea distribution products per specified industry standards

Help in maintenance activities of all equipment, help in improving shop floor facilities and procedures.

Perform tube cutting, plumbing operations for different angles, use manual/electrical or CNC plumbing methods

Material handing of different products upto 5 ton.

Key Interactions

Reports to: Production Manager/Supervisor

Internal interactions with : manufacturing engineers, assembly technicians, Plumbers, welders, production planners, Quality, Warehouse.

Main accountabilities(Be-Do- Have Skills)

Good interaction skills with internal and external customer

Able to read and interpret assembly procedures, Drawings or schematics

Perform tube cutting, plumbing or tube bending operations for different angles, use manual/electrical or CNC plumbing methods

Able to document the data as the assembly & plumbing progresses

Able to perform grinding, drilling, threading, coning, deburring or similar machining operations

Do fitment operations and align tubes for welding, troubleshoot incorrect tubes and rebend where practicable.

Collects, records and maintains data and other required IMS documentation

Provides ideas and helps in their execution for lean implementation

Works in accordance with health and safety procedures. Proactively identifies hazards and comes up with suitable solutions.

Experience using various shop floor tools for handling(Overhead crane/Pallets), Assembly tools(Manual/Hydraulic/Pneumatic), & Operating equipment like pumps is advantageous

Works in shifts per business needs

Typical Profile

Fitter related to Plumbing or ITI/ Diploma – mechanical

2 to 6 years of practical experience on shop floor

Previous working knowledge on small bore tube bending is desirable

Working knowledge of ISO and other applicable standards and guidelines

Advantageous have exposure/experience performing FAT(Factory Acceptance Tests), Hydrostatic tests, System integration testing or similar.

Previous Experience in Oil and Gas product pressure testing, Aerospace, Automobile is preferable

90% Physical work, 10% leading others/ Documentation/communication etc
