Position: Business Head – Air Express business
Role: Responsible for P&L Management, including Strategy Development & Execution for the Air Express Business.
Education: Bachelors – Mandatory, MBA / PGDM / Masters will be an added advantage
Location: Bangalore
Experience (In Years): 15-20 years
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES –
The incumbent will be primarily responsible for handling all matters of the Air Express business and its P&L. His functional responsibility will include Strategy & Business Development, Go-to-Market analysis, Operations, Quality & Maintenance, Supply Chain, Product Pricing and Customer Service, etc.
The incumbent should be well experienced in the above field.
FOLLOWING WILL BE KEY DELIVERABLES –
Ø Finalization of Short-Term & Long-Term Strategies and Business Plans in association with Strategy & Finance functions.
Ø Ensuring Growth in terms of production and turnover. Accountable for P&L of this business.
Ø Mapping the Demand-Supply.
Ø Assisting Strategy function in evaluating various growth opportunities in the Air Express space.
Ø Continuously mapping Competition and Sales Pricing considering the competitive scenario.
Ø Maintaining business relationship with key stake holders including Clients, vendors, Govt Departments and Local administration.
Ø Profitability Management, technical Service, Capex, Opex, Projects implementation including contracts negotiation.
Ø Supply Chain management, Operation excellence, R&D and New Product Development.
Ø Ensure compliance with all internal and external safety, environmental, and statutory regulations.
Ø Implementation of latest technologies and innovative items in the projects.
Ø Responsible for planning and executing successful implementation of new customers as well as support sales process and visits as necessary to achieve growth targets

Ø Ensure the records on customer’s needs, requirements, and KPIs are met or exceeded
Ø Lead locally related vendor matters in conjunction with Product to ensure the highest level of service is achieved as well as assists and answers customer inquiries and other related customer service functions
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL-SET –
Ø 15-20 yrs. experience in Logistics industry with leadership profile
Ø In-depth knowledge of Air Express business & operations. Must be subject matter expert.
Ø Global market exposure a plus
Ø Enable the operations team to quickly identify and resolves any operational issues in a timely manner to ensure quick resolution and customer satisfaction.
Ø Directing supervisory personnel within assigned functional area
Ø Overseeing and advising on staffing requirements; monitor/administer discipline/corrective action by or for subordinates
Ø Ensuring customer satisfaction by daily feedback
Ø Ensure handling of required Export and Import documents according to regulations and internal procedures / data maintenance
Ø To Create, build and maintain excellent relationships with key suppliers both internal and external Organizes, plans, and facilitates the day-to-day work of a team of Air Freight Export and Import Operations Specialists
Ø Organize, plan, and facilitate the day-to-day work of a team of Air Freight Export and Import Operations Specialists
Ø Create opportunities to develop a highly skilled functional department
Ø Drive continuous improvement in process flows for Air Export and Air Import work streams
