The Cloud Storage Management team is seeking a engineer to design and develop Storage Management software for Virtual Machine (VM) and Container workloads for vSAN, VVOL, Kubernetes, Docker and other emerging Cloud Native Storage technologies. Our team’s mission is to build storage management infrastructure software to establish vSphere & vSAN as the best HCI platform to deploy and manage VM and container based applications.

Responsibilities:

· Design and Develop next generation storage management technologies for Cloud Native Storage systems to manage containerized workloads using Kubernetes, Docker, and other emerging container technologies.

· Design and Develop storage management software to manage container technology for running stateful, data intensive applications such as databases and modern cloud native applications.

· Participate in code reviews.

· Maintain deep technical and business knowledge of storage industry directions and trends

Requirements:

· Masters or Bachelors Degree in Computer Science

· 4+ years of experience designing and developing software for large scale distributed systems

· Experience working in product development R&D teams

· Strong background in object-oriented design and programming

· Must have strong coding experience in C++ AND Java

· Must have good knowledge of scalability issues and multi-threaded programming in mixed Windows and Linux environment

· Experience coding in Go and Python programming languages is highly desirable but is not mandatory

· Experience developing software for managing Storage or containerized workloads using Kubernetes, Docker and any other emerging container technologies is highly desirable but not mandatory
