ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing a newly started plant and to achieve the project and production goals
• Ensure that the production unit and products meet costumer, quality, legal and regulatory requirements
• Ensure maximum utilization of the plant assets and responsible for forecasts and budget
• Executes business plan and contributes to the development of the company and functional strategy
• Provide leadership to senior managers and develop the organization by owning the people agenda
• Work closely with functional leads from quality, regulatory, EHS, production, supply chain, warehouse, logistics, purchasing, process engineering to maintain timely and compliant production
• Apply DBS tools for continuous improvements and analyses of performance and implement required projects
• Present India Manufacturing locally and globally and coordinate with global manufacturing sites

Education or Experience (in years):

• 12 + years’ multi-functional experience in a matrix production environment with deep understanding of functional nuances to run a plant and deliver on manufacturing targets
• 5 + years working in regulated businesses (ISO, FDA and local compliance)
• 5 + years leadership experience and documented training
• 3 + years’ experience of lean principles and implementation
• Graduate or Post Graduate Degree (B.Sc., B.Tech., M.Sc., M.Tech., MBA etc)

• Ability to bring down cost of goods sold through deep financial understanding of the plant operations with equally strong focus on quality and safety
• Leadership
• Strong people manager with high understanding of organizations and company culture
• Excellent leadership skills and a strong ability to engage, motivate and develop senior managers and organizations
• Problem Solving
• Identifies and drive solutions for technical and operational opportunities or issues; understands and recognizes the broader impact across the business
• Impact
• Facilitates and drive the organisations ability to achieve timely delivery of objectives
• Participates in intercompany global management team to drive strategies and priorities for the site
• Language and communication
• Excellent client-facing and communication skills in local language as well as English

Other:

The candidate will connect with state or central government officials in India, Cepheid India representatives and other members of Danaher Opcos in India as needed.

The candidate will be the key contact in India and will plan, initiate and drive improvements and changes, global as well as local in the form of projects, KAIZENs or other. Responsibilities include global coordination when required, clear and transparent communication and execution within budget.
