Department Profile
Global Banking and Operations Technology (GBOT) is a dynamic and fast-paced area within the Firm?s WM Technology Division. We are responsible for creating innovative technology solutions for the Private Banking Group (PBG), one of the strategic growth areas of the Firm, providing cash management and lending products and services to our WM clients. This includes state-of-the-art technology for a nationwide network of Private Bankers and product specialists who work with Financial Advisors to provide access to products and services such as online banking, cards, deposit products, residential mortgages, securities-based loans and tailored lending. Position Description
We are looking for a technical engineering lead for the development team that owns SCRIBE, the Accounting Platform for Lending Products and Services within GBOT. The candidate will be responsible for the development and enhancements of this application which involve full stack development across UI, Middle tier and backend DB changes. This role demands continuous learning in business, technology and management, personal excellence, and resourcefulness.
Job Functions/Duties and Responsibilities
Grow and develop diverse engineering team by providing technical and professional guidance.
Lead system design and development.
Partner with business stakeholders to understand the requirements and translate them into technology deliverables
Understand business processes, bigger picture and core ideas behind the developed software.
Define engineering guidelines and quality control pipeline; perform code reviews.
Partner with business and technical stakeholders.
Advocate and advance toward cutting edge engineering practices.
Apply Agile development best practices and ceremonies.
Skills Required
12 career experince with 7 years of experience leading development team of at least 8-10 developers.
Strong hands-on experience with Core Java preferably 1.8 and Java EE.
Practical experience with Spring (core, aspect, boot, batch).
Experience with Web Services (XML, JSON , REST, SOAP).
Experience with Messaging technologies such as Kafka and MQ.
Experience with Relational databases (SQL server).
Experience with UI Technologies (JS, Angular, React, Typescript).
Strong Linux background.
Excellent communication, organizational, and planning skills.
Understanding of non-functional requirements (security, scalability, reliability).
Working experience of Agile development methodologies and of DevOps integration.
Exposure to JIRA or other ALM tools to create a productive, high quality development.
Skills Desired
Proficiency in UI frameworks such as Angular and Tableau.
Experience in leading agile teams.
Knowledge of Financial market, lending based products and Wealth Management.
Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
