The Financial Controls & Compliance Senior Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Financial Controls & Compliance Manager in ensuring compliance. The Credit Risk Specialist supports the credit risk management process within E2E Order to Cash. The role assesses the credit worthiness of customers and manages the process of approving/declining blocked orders. Your responsibilities: Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Ensures that customers credit limits are reviewed timely and in compliance with the Novartis Financial Controls and Global Credit Management Guideline. Collaborates with key stakeholders regarding the status/condition of an account as well as communicating the status of orders that will not be released within standard timelines. • Ensures productivity, continuous improvements and seamless service. Supports the measurement and delivery of service levels and SLA/KPI targets. Proactively challenges the Status Quo, making fact based recommendations to the Credit Risk Manager and credit committee • Manages day-to-day activities like ensures proper document management (incl. document reception, sorting, scanning and validation). Performs regular credit risk assessments to calculate the individual customer credit limit and risk classification with support of existing system solutions. Performs the daily check of blocked orders and takes appropriate actions before releasing the orders. Collaborates with the collection team and recommends reasonable actions to reduce the amount of past due receivables. • Ensures adequate and secure payment methods for export business in high risk countries. Resolves Credit Management related issues and disputes, escalates as required or coordinates with various stakeholders • Supports that all processes, policies and procedures are clearly defined, fully documented and adhered to • Ensures compliance with Novartis Accounting Manual (NAM), Novartis Financial Controls Manual (NFCM) and regulatory requirements. Ensures application of agreed Novartis control procedures and actively support to deliver SOX certification nnnn Position Title: Credit Specialist O2C Minimum requirements: What you’ll bring to the role: • University level degree in Business Administration/ Economics/Finance or Chartered Accountant. Lean/ Six Sigma Certified preferred • 3 years of financial experience, with in-depth functional expertize • Ability to analyze and interpret complex sets of data including financial statements • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-national, matrix organization. SAP knowledge.
