Esko is looking for QA Engineer I (Automation) who will be part of a global team and will work on product engineering of various Esko products

Qualifications and Professional Knowledge

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Master’s degree in Software Engineering or Information Science/Technology or a related field with 3-5 years of experience in testing cross-platform Desktop applications with exposure to test automation frameworks

• Excellent understanding of automation frameworks, methodology, best practices, protocols.

• Experience developing and maintaining test suites through formal methods of test design to ensure optimal test coverage.

• Good analytical skills and self-initiative to learn new technologies

• Knowledge of QA practice both at the conceptual and practical level

• Minimum of 3 years’ hands on experience in designing and developing automation test scripts for complex Products

• Experience developing and maintaining test suites through formal methods of test design to ensure optimal test coverage.

• Strong technical skills to mentor and guide the team members on creating and maintaining automation frameworks.

• Experience in testing products developed in Web technology and Client / Server (preferably Java).

Skills – Mandatory

• Process Related: Agile /Scrum, Configuration management, Software test environments control

• Analysis: Analysis of requirements / user stories using formal methodologies / techniques to identify gaps

• Testing:

• Experience in Test automation and Software Testing including the application of test processes through software development life cycles.

• Hands-on experience in testing of desktop applications, automation software tools, concepts, and applications.

• Experience in BDD test development practices.

• Experience in creating test plans, test cases and automation of test cases.

• Experience in automation framework design and development.

• Excellent programming and technical skills in Python, JavaScript. VB Script

• Hands-on experience in Test automation using at least one test automation tool (Preferably Squish)

• One Scripting language like Python / JavaScript etc.,

• Test case design using various techniques / approaches to achieve optimal test coverage

• Experience in various types of testing that includes Performance & Stress testing using industrial standard monitoring tools

• Test estimation and test design using standard methodologies, test execution and test reporting

• Root cause analysis techniques like Pareto, 5-Why, etc.,

• CI/CD:

• Solid understanding of FDD, TDD and BDD principles and patterns & experience in CI/CD pipelines

• Experience in build and continuous Integration tools like Jenkins, Ant, Maven and Gradle

• DevOPS knowledge (to understand how Configuration control and build management works)

• Good analysis and problem-solving skills

• Defect tracking and use of test management tools

• Hands on Experience in JIRA, Perforce / Git (any other tools would be plus)

• Operating Systems: Working experience in products / applications designed for Windows and Mac operating systems

Skills – Nice to have

• Any test certifications (ISTQB, CSQA, Test Automation Certifications, etc.,)

• Knowledge of C/C++ would be a plus

• Champion in one or more methodologies SCRUM, KANBAN would be a plus

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of process effectiveness and efficiency

• Design & Build test harnesses for Automation testing for GUI, Web services and Application reports

• Create/ Maintain the Automation framework/ Infrastructure for the project

• Design technical solutions & assist with solving technical problems when they arise

• Create and upgrade automation test plans for each release

• Drive strategic and tactical decision making from a technology perspective, including software innovation

• Construct overall & automated test strategies by understanding test automation solutions using industry Best Practices

• Implementation of end-to-end automated testing tools and frameworks using open-source tools and license tools, covering both functional and non-functional areas
